This was Slayde's first baseball game held at the Washington Park, Washington City, Utah.
Slayde got up to the plate for the first time and swung at the ball twice! Klay calmly said,"Slayde, elbow up and watch the ball!" Slayde hit a beautiful fly oversecond base! He got on 1st base and the kid that ran to second wouldn't go any farther! So Slayde just stood there!
There he is running to second base!

I just happened onto this blog. Is this the Dennis Wright who served a mission for the LDS Church in Michigan, in the U.P., ? Early 1960's.
