05/20/2008 SLAYDE WITH BACK PACK!

Slayde loves his back pack! So I told him that I would take a picture of him with it!!! I had just picked him up from kindergarten!

Slayde likes to wear PINK shirts! So I thought I would take a picture of him wearing one of his PINK shirts!!!

Of couse, BABY GIRL wanted her picture taken with her BIG BRO, so here they are!!! She loves to POSE for PICTURES!!!

05/20/2008 JAKSYN AT MINI-CHEF CLASS!

Shelle signed Jaksyn up for the Mini-Chef class at Dixie College! The class is from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for a week! She takes her to school and I went to pick her up today! They had made pizza and then the teacher had drawn their pictures up on the board! So I took pictures of the girls!

Jaksyn kept posing and not standing still! The teacher said, "Jaksyn, why won't you stand straight!" Jaksyn said, "I want to stand this way!"

By the third picture, ALL of the girls were trying to pose like JAKSYN! She is the youngest of the girls and she acted like she was the BOSS! BABY GIRL THINKS SHE IS HOT, HOT, HOT!"

05/19/2008 FIRE ENGINE AT EAST ELEMENTARY!

DOES THIS BRING BACK MEMORIES TO ANY OF MY 4 CHILDREN THAT ATTENDED EAST ELEMENTARY? The last week of every School year, the fire engine truck comes and sprays the students at East Elementary! THE KIDS LOVE IT!!!

05/09/2008 SLAYDE GETTING WET!!!

Slayde was told at school to come and run through the water at 2:00 p.m. So about 1:55 p.m., I walked him out the door with his towel and watch him get clear up to the end of the corner when he turned around and yelled that an adult was to come with him. I was standing on the lawn with NO SHOES. So I ran in the house, where I yelled down at Jaksyn who I had been getting ready for her nap and told her to get in bed and get to sleep. Then I slipped on my flip flops and took off for Slayde. By this time, Slayde was walking home. I told him to stop and I would come to him. I grabbed his hand and off we went to the Elementary School. He said, "I don't see any body in their swimsuit!" I told him to look again because kids were holding their towels and taking off their clothes where they had their swimming suits underneath. So I took his towel and went up by the building so I wouldn't get wet. He walked out on the lawn and one of his friends came over to him and the MEMORY OF HIS MAMMY WAS GONE!!! So I ran home to check on "BABY GIRL" and would you believe that she was in her bed. covered up with her blanket and asleep! What a CUTIE!!! Slayde is in the green shirt and swimsuit!

I am out in the middle of the playground, trying not to get wet and about 5 yards away from Slayde, yelling at him to look at me! The kids' yelling was soooooooooooooo loud, I couldn't even hear myself!

Finally, Tony heard and saw me and told Slayde to look at me!!! He was having a blast!!!

05/17/2008 SLAYDE'S HIP HOP RECITAL

All decked out in his Hip Hop outfit to perform his one dance at his recital!

He did really good and he had fun doing it! Bompa and Mammy went to see him and left immediately after he was finished! Of course, Slayde and Jaksyn wanted to go to so we took them to Bompa's favorite place to eat,"VILLAGE INN!" Shelle and Klayton came a while later and we told them that we were okay and to go out on a DATE!!! So they did!!!

05/03/2008 SOMEONE TOOK PICS WITH MAMMY'S CAMERA

I checked my camera to find a lot of pictures of the floor, computer, walls, desk and other things that I didn't take. Looking through them, the culprit took a picture of themself ! THAT'S RIGHT!!! JAKSYN!!! What a sweetie!!!

05/03/2008 DEREK SORENSEN'S GRADUATION!!!

Saturday, 2:00 p.m., Derek has just received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management! WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF HIM! (L to R) Derek, Lorene's friend, Heidi Tasso, and Grandma Mary Andersen.

Everyone is so HAPPY for Derek! What a BIG DAY!!! (L to R) Mom, Derek, and Grandma!

Then I went to take a picture of Krystal and Derek and my camera battery died!!! AUGGGGGG!!!! So I didn't get any pics of Krystal with Derek and me with Krystal and Derek to verify that I was at his graduation. So that is why I am so glad Krystal took this picture BELOW!!! I did get video of Derek receiving his diploma and walking off the stand, getting his picture taken professionally and then coming straight for Krystal and giving her a big kiss and hug!!! After graduation, we (Lorene, Grandma, Heidi, Derek, Krystal and I) went to the restuarant up Cedar Mountain Canyon, (can't remember the name), but the food was great and the company was fun! Derek and Krystal left the next day for Minneapolis, Minnesota where Derek is selling Security Systems for the summer! I can't wait to fly out to see them!

05/03/2008 SATURDAY, DEREK SORENSEN'S GRADUATION!

Krystal and I during Derek's graduation. Most all of the chairs were taken, so we sat on the bleachers in the back against the back wall. I think it was the best seat in the hall! Krystal decided to take a picture of us while the speaker was talking! Boy, I made a BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER! I was honored to go to Derek's graduation. Denny had planned on going but he was in bed sick with the flu, SO I went and had a blast! I am so happy that Derek has worked so hard to get his degree! Krystal will graduate with her Bachelor's Degree next May! YIPPY!!! NOW TO THE BIGGGGGGGGGGGGG STORY! Derek's granduation didn't start until 2:00 p.m. I got off work at 11:00 a.m. so I could go home and make sure that I was ready to go when Krystal and Derek needed to go! We left around 12:30 p.m. to go and pick up Derek's Grandma, Mary Andersen, who was riding with us to Cedar City for his graduation which is about 45 minutes away on the Freeway. We leave Washington City and get on the Freeway and heads North. Just after we pass the Hurricane Exit, traffic is STOPPED for as far as you can see! Knowing that we are on a time limit, we all started to worry! The traffic would move a short distance and then STOP! We finally saw a truck go over this dirt path like road and get on the Freeway heading back toward St. George. Derek asked us if we thought it would be wise to go back to the Hurricane and take that exit and take the back roads through Hurricane, La Verkin and Touqerville and get back on the Freeway there since we didn't know what was causing the traffic to stop. So as we got to this dirt path, Derek, took off and we made it to the other side and got on the Freeway going South. We took the exit amd drove through Hurricane, through LaVerkin and through Touqerville. We almost got to the Touqerville exit when we got behind this big truck going about 10 miles an hour trying to make it up the hill so he could go down the hill and back up a little hill to get on the exit! We all tried to think POSITIVE but the truck was really trying out PATIENCE!!! Finally, we got on the Freeway and Derek was able to pass the truck and off we went. By this time, it was about 1:30 p.m. and we still had about 30 miles to go!!! So Derek was driving safely at 80 miles an hour! WE WERE FELLING PRETTY GOOD! Then all of a sudden we heard a buzz! Derek looked at the buzzing light which was flicking on and off saying, "LOW GAS!" WE HAD ANOTHER PROBLEM! As we were going to pick up his grandma, Derek had mentioned that we needed to stop and get some gas. But in the excitement of going to Graduation and picking up his grandma, Derek. Krystal and I forgot all about the GAS. We were having such a good time just visiting. Now what to do? There is a gas station about 15 miles from Cedar City where we can get gas OR should we just take a chance and see if we can make it to the Graduation? It was about 1:45 p.m. by now and Graduation started at 2:00 P.M We all pondered on the topic for a moment and then voted to stop and get 2 gallons of gas which should get us to the Graduation and fill up after Graduation was all over! So Derek drives into the Station, swipes his credit card, put the nozzle in the car, pumped the gas and jumped back into the car and almost burned rubber getting back on the Freeway! He talked to his mother who was just getting to Cedar City from Logan where his little sister's husband had graduated that morning! So they would meet us in front of the the P.E. building, Derek and his grandma would jump out of the car, Krystal would jump in the driver's seat and off her and I would go to find a parking place. THAT'S WHAT WE DID. Derek grabbed his robe and hat and was off. He said afterwards, that they were calling out his name when he ran up to where he was to be in line. So he barely made it! Krystal and I happen to find a parking place right across the street so we were able to find Lorene Sorensen (Derek's Mom) and her friend, Heidi Tasso and Grandma and sit down for Graduation! Of course, I have been to soooooooooooooooooo many College and University Graduations, that I pulled my Romance Novel out of my purse and started to read and this is when Krystal decided we needed to take this picture which I am glad of! CONGRATS, DEREK!!!

04/27/2008 BEFORE CHURCH, PLAYING "GUITAR HERO"!

Before church, Slayde is soing Derek how to play "Guitar Hero" on the TV! It is way harder than it looks!!! WHAT A STUD!

Derek, being as competitive as he is, did PERFECT his first try! He went on to the next level! What a BRAT!!! Ha! Ha!
